What are automatic payments?

Automated payments in the SavvyLockers software are nothing more than unattended, self-collection of box rental payments. All you need is to plug in the tenant’s credit or debit card.

For the tenants themselves, on the other hand, it is undoubtedly convenient and time-saving. There is no need to keep track of payments and repeat the same payment operations every month. How to start automatic payments?

The process begins in the SavvyLockers system and everything runs fast. For a specific rental, you turn on the automatic payment only once – from then on, everything happens on its own. It’s like having an automatic transmission in your car – you don’t have to control the lever all the time. Let’s get started!

Admin Panel

If your customer has opted for automatic payments, you will start the process here. Go to the rental details and click ON in the relevant field. Now enter the email address provided by the customer and indicate SEND TO TENANT. At this point, the payment status will change to “in progress”. The customer then takes over.

The tenant will receive an email with a link to plug in the card. Here he will be directed to the Fiserv platform, where he will securely enter his payment card details. And there’s the finish!

Everything is under your control

You may now ask the question: ok, if everything happens automatically, how do you have actual control over the self-storage facility? Let’s take a pit stop for a moment. We have installed a smart Events module in our software, which gives you a condensed overview of what’s going on in the boxes. At any time, you can view the history of various events: from information on new rentals to messages about overdue payments. There will also be notifications related to automatic payments, such as:

  • an automatic payment has been started,
  • an automatic payment has been cancelled,
  • payment card about to expire,
  • payment card expired,
  • failed to download automatic payment.
